“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”
John 3:16 (NIV)
Whether you are Jewish or Gentile; if you are forgiven and live, it will be because you have personally developed a relationship with the Lord and tried to walk according to his will by obeying the Laws of Moses. Then, you are humble enough to accept the fact that you fell short of his will (because no one is perfect), and you put your faith in Almighty God and trusted that through the ultimate sacrifice that was made for you, by his son, Jesus Christ―you are saved.
And God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness. …” And God created man in His image, in the image of God He created him: male and female He created them.
Genesis 1:26-27 (Torah)
Hence a man leaves his father and mother and clings to his wife, so that they become one flesh.
Genesis 2:24 (Torah)
This, then, is how you should pray:
“‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.’
Matthew 6:9-13 (NIV)
Why the son? Why did Almighty God send his beloved son, so that he would be sacrificed for the forgiveness of our sins? Because when the world was created, the Lord created the world with the knowledge that he had received from his Father. The Lord created the world using what was familiar to him. When the Lord said, “Let us create man in our image,” he was speaking to two proud, loving parents, who were watching over their son! They hovered over him and they watched him with pride; while he was on his hands and knees, forming the dust of the earth, to create the first man. They saw him as he commanded the dust to rise like a lifeless statue. They witnessed as he breathed life into an inanimate object, and that which was dust suddenly became flesh, and all of his inward parts were formed. And they watched, with their eyes filled with tears, while their son, a child without sin; accepted the responsibility for an imperfect world, which Satan set out to destroy, so that mankind could live, if they would believe in him. The Lord obeyed his Father and did as he was commanded, for the sake of those he created and whom he loved!
The LORD God said, “It is not good for man to be alone; I will make a fitting helper for him.”
Genesis 2-18 (Torah)
Man plus wound equals woman, for Adam said:
“I have been wounded and from my wound, came forth my helpmate.”
Genesis 2:21-23 (Torah)
The Lord created the earth and all that there is. He created the first man and the first woman. The Lord communed with Enoch and he dined with Abraham. The Lord struggled with Jacob at the waters of Jabbok, where Jacob was given the new name, “Israel.” The Lord appeared to Moses in the burning bush and Joshua after the tribes of Israel crossed the Jordan River. He appeared to Manoah and his wife before Samson was born, and commanded her to follow the laws of a Nazarite. The Lord communicated with all of the prophets in their time, and he has fulfilled all of the prophesies that concern him, short of when he returns.
In the Word of God, Jesus said:
... “Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father.”
John 14:9 (NIV)
This is not that difficult to understand, because all you have to do is look toward your own household. How many of you have heard someone else say, “You are just like your father,” or “Your son is just like you?” What daughter has heard the same about her mother or vice versa? How much do we resemble each other in appearance, behavior, and beliefs?
It is written in the Word of God that the Son of God came to earth to become like us, so that we might become like him. Jesus Christ replaced the imperfect sacrifice which was made year after year, once and for all, by himself; so that humanity could be forgiven because of their sins, if they would repent.
