THE END TIMES

Prophesies Pertaining To Our Days

A Spirit Of Discord

Then God sent a spirit of discord between Abimelech and the citizens of Shechem, and the citizens of Shechem broke faith with Abimelech.

Judges 9:23 (Tanakh)

But [Micaiah] said, “I call upon you to hear the word of the LORD!  I saw the LORD seated upon His throne, with all the host of heaven standing in attendance to the right and to the left of Him.  The LORD asked, ‘Who will entice Ahab so that he will march and fall at Ramoth-gilead?’  Then one said thus and another said thus, until a certain spirit came forward and stood before the LORD and said, ‘I will entice him.’  ‘How?’  the LORD asked him.  And he replied, ‘I will go out and be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets.’  Then He said, ‘You will entice and you will prevail.  Go out and do it.  So the LORD has put a lying spirit in the mouth of all these prophets of yours; for the LORD has decreed disaster upon you.”

1 Kings 22:19-23 (Tanakh)

When the Lord is angry with a person, a nation, a kingdom, and even the entire world; the Lord turns his back toward them, and allows them to be afflicted in a variety of ways. Some of the ways are by a form of disaster or through a plague, and another way―is through war.  The Lord will harden their hearts against each other, in order to destroy one another.  When an evil spirit is released upon us:  We can choose to behave like ants and continue to mend the damage and resume our previous behavior or we can identify our sins and repent, with the hope that the Lord may forgive us, and turn his face toward us again.  The choice is up to each one of us; whether we choose to work together or be torn apart.  There are a number of people throughout the world, who truly believe that they are righteous and they are walking according to the will of the Lord; however, they are wrong.  Some people believe that when they afflict someone else or even worse―destroy them that this is sanctified by the Lord, and they will be blessed because of their actions. The Radical Fundamental Islamists and the terrorist networks affiliated with them, believe that they have been chosen by the Allah, to kill everyone who does not convert to their ideology.  They have instructed their followers that if they are obedient to this teaching and fulfill its command; they will be richly rewarded in heaven and lifted up and honored by Allah.  However, the men who profess this belief, lack the wisdom to understand the prophesies pertaining to the end times.  They do not know the Lord or understand his character.  In truth, the destroyer is then destroyed (Satan and his disciples), after the Lord has used them in order to fulfill his purpose.

In the Word of God it is written:

The LORD made everything for a purpose, even the wicked for an evil day.

Proverbs 16:4 (Tanakh)

Ha, you ravager who are not ravaged, you betrayer who have not been betrayed! When you have done ravaging, you shall be ravaged; when you have finished betraying, you shall be betrayed.

Isaiah 33:1 (Tanakh)

If one were chosen to do evil, and one knows the consequences of disobeying the law; then, would it not be more prudent to repent and seek the Lord’s favor; in the hope that you may be forgiven; thereby changing the course that you find yourself on?  Therefore― purge your heart, resist evil, and seek the Lord.

But as for you who forsake the LORD, who ignore My holy mountain, who set a table for Luck and fill a mixing bowl for Destiny:  I will destine you for the sword, you will all kneel down to be slaughtered—Because, when I called, you did not answer, when I spoke, you would not listen.  You did what I hold evil, and chose what I do not want.

Isaiah 65:11-12 (Tanakh)

In Islam, it is believed that all is destiny; however, this in not necessarily true.  Each one of us is given an opportunity to learn about the Lord, to believe in him, and to fear him.  We are all given an opportunity to obey the commandments or to follow the teachings of this world.  We have each been given freewill to choose between life and death.  If we choose to follow another teaching, other than the Word of God; then and only then, we would be destined for the sword.  We have all been created in the image of our creator and we have each been given a mind to discern wisdom or to reject it.

... O mortal, intone a dirge over Pharaoh king of Egypt.  Say to him:  O great beast among the nations, you are doomed! … accompanying their descent to the lowest part of the netherworld, among those who have gone down into the Pit. ... Down with you, and be laid to rest with the uncircumcised! … From the depths of Sheol the mightiest of warriors speak to him and his allies; Assyria … ―they who struck terror in the land of the living. …Elam ―now they bear their shame with those who have gone down to the Pit. ... Though their terror was once spread over the land of the living… Meshech and Tubal...  Edom…  All the princes of the north and all the Sidonians. ...

Ezekiel, Chapter 32 (Tanakh)

... Thus said the Lord GOD:  I am going to deal with you, Mount Seri:  I will stretch out My hand against you and make you an utter waste. ... Because you harbored an ancient hatred and handed the people of Israel over to the sword in their time of calamity…  I will doom you with blood; blood shall pursue you; I swear that, for your bloodthirsty hatred, blood shall pursue you. … ―assuredly, as I live, declares the Lord GOD, I will act with the same anger and passion that you acted with in your hatred of them. …so will I treat you; the hill country of Seir and the whole of Edom, all of it shall be laid waste, and they shall know that I am the LORD.

Ezekiel 35:3-15 (Tanakh)

Thus said the Lord GOD:  Because the enemy gloated over you, “Aha!  Those ancient heights have become our possession!” Thus said the Lord GOD to the mountains and the hills, to the watercourses and the valleys, and to the desolate wastes and deserted cities which have become a prey and a laughingstock to the other nations round about:  …in My blazing wrath against the other nations and against all of Edom which, with wholehearted glee and with contempt, have made My land a possession for themselves for pasture and for prey.  …thus said the Lord GOD:  I hereby swear that the nations which surround you shall, in their turn, suffer disgrace.

Ezekiel 36:2-7 (Tanakh)

And the twenty-four elders, who were seated on their thrones before God, fell on their faces and worshiped God, saying:  “We give thanks to you, Lord God Almighty. The One who is and who was, because you have taken your great power and have begun to reign. The nations were angry; and your wrath has come.  The time has come for judging the dead, and for rewarding your servants the prophets and your saints and those who reverence your name, both small and great—and for destroying those who destroy the earth.”

Revelation 11:16-18 (NIV)

When one nation is given strength in order to humble another nation or to destroy it, then the one that is strengthened will be judged according to the same measure of mercy and compassion that they have shown toward their victims. (Jeremiah 51:20-26)
