Dreams And Visions Of

Heaven And Hell

“Enter through the narrow gate.  For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it.  But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.

Matthew 7:13-14 (NIV)

Heaven

While I was visiting Masada, in Israel, I learned that it is unlawful to commit suicide. For a long time after this, I was concerned about the well being of someone I loved, because they went through a very difficult time in their life and passed away prematurely. I am not sure if they committed suicide; however, I was told that they did.

Several months later, I had a beautiful dream!  I was in heaven and I was walking down a long corridor.  Then I entered a dining hall to my right side that was beautifully designed. Each table was identical and very neatly arranged with white table linen and napkins. There was a very pretty bouquet of flowers in the center of each table.  And, at each place setting, there was a beautiful golden goblet.  I remember that I was amazed because the goblet of gold was so refined and pure.  In all of my life, I have never seen gold with such an amazing appearance.  In all of my travels, in all of the restaurants I have ever dined; I have never seen such an elegant and immaculate table setting.  As I looked around, I saw the woman I was concerned about.  She was sitting at one of the tables, quietly and patiently waiting for other people to join her.  Beside her and to my right, but across from her, at another table, sat a man I did not recognize.  Then the Spirit of the Lord told me who he was and I remembered him.  While they were alive, they were married; however, in time, they divorced; before they passed away.  When I saw them, they were so beautiful, dressed in brilliant white!  After the dream ended and I woke up, I wept with pure joy, because I knew that she was in heaven; however, then I wept bitter tears, because I realized that I was not!

In another dream, I was walking down a long corridor and I noticed that there were several rooms to my right, as well as to my left.  A man was standing in front of me, at a door to my right side, and he said: “You are welcome to look in this room if you would like to, but you will not want to go in there.”

In a dream, I was walking and I approached a very large pair of double doors.  The doors were identical and they were engraved with carvings of trees and vegetation.  I remember that the doors were made from an unusual dark wood and I am not sure if I have ever seen anything like it on earth.

One evening, I had a dream and I was in heaven, speaking to my grandmother. (She had not passed away at the time that I had this dream.) I remembered looking at her in awe because she was so beautiful!  It was as though everything in this world that had ever hurt her was missing from her face.  All of the years of pain, sadness, and worry had been erased from her, and she seemed to shine!  Her eyes, which were once cloudy, were now very clear.  She appeared radiant to me, as though she was a young woman; however, I could still identify her as my grandmother.

I was walking beside a man in heaven, with my eyes cast to the floor; therefore I could only see him from my right side, from the waist down.  He was wearing a white garment, like a robe.  He stopped and said, “There is something that I would like to show you in this store room.”  As he spoke, he reached toward a door knob, and opened a door.  Inside, on the floor, was a large pile of gold coins.  As I picked up a coin, I remembered thinking that I wished I could bring one coin back, to show everyone how beautiful it is.

In a dream, I was walking up a large staircase that seemed to be cut out of one single large piece of solid white marble.  It was so wide that I believe five men could have ascended the stairs, walking side by side.  I was holding on to the banister, on my left side, and I noticed that it was carved; however, I could not distinguish the design.  As I was walking, I noticed the banister was different from anything that I had ever seen.  The banister was made of marble, but the top of the banister was covered with smooth wood, molded around the top of it.  The wood was so smooth it felt like silk.  The wood was sanded very fine and covered with a texture similar to polyurethane.  The banister was warm to the touch and not hard or cold like marble.  I began to reach a landing in the staircase that turned and led to my right side.  At the landing, I could see palm trees and pomegranates carved in the banister.  Then I heard the Lord say, “Do not be afraid, come to me.”

I was sitting at a small table, similar to a café table, with a girl friend of mine, and a very handsome man began to approach us.  In my mind, I thought that he was the most beautiful man I have ever seen!  He was tall and well built, his skin was olive tone, his hair was thick, dark and curly, and he had deep dark brown eyes.  When he came near our table; he looked directly at me and his eyes seem to pierce me, straight through to my heart.  I began to blush and I looked down toward my lap, and then woke up from my dream.  At the time, I did not know who he was; however, he looked very much like the man who is described in the book called, “Song of Songs,” by Solomon.

In all of the dreams that I have had concerning heaven; gold always impressed me, because it seemed to be so refined and so pure.  I have never seen gold on earth as beautiful as it is in heaven and I have never seen the color of white as brilliant.

Sheol

There was a small child who had three frightening dreams, on three different nights, and each dream was the same.  When the child had the dream, he would scream in horror and stir his mother from her sleep.  His mother was deeply concerned about his dreams and shared them with several other people, who were close to her.  In the dream, a very evil looking man broke into their home and kidnapped his entire family.  He took them to a very dark and frightening place, down the street and across from the church, they attended regularly; where he began to torture each one of them severely.  When the dream was related to me, I was very troubled.  I thought that I understood this dream; however, I could not understand why the Lord would show such a frightening dream, to such a young child.  I went to the Lord in prayer and I asked him if my interpretation was correct and how the Lord expected a child, this young, to understand it.  This was the interpretation of the dream:  The evil man who broke into their home was Satan.  The place he took them to was hell; the road dividing them from the church, represented the great gulf that exist between heaven and hell, and the church represented heaven.  The Lord affirmed that my interpretation was correct, and he said that from the time a child is young and until they grow old; the Lord will frequently show them dreams that will teach and warn them, so that they might fear the Lord and repent.  On the Day of Judgment, when they learn their fate; they will understand, because the Lord was trying to help them all of their life.  If they do not repent, this is what would become of them.

Many people sincerely believe that they are righteous and that if they were to die today, they would be forgiven and live.  They also believe that they have raised their children well.  Some people believe that they will be lifted up and honored because of the lives they have lived.  They believe this, because someone else has told them what they wanted to hear. (2 Timothy 4:3) However, they have been deceived and they are wrong.

A lot of these same people have never taken the time to read the Word of God for them self.  Fewer people have read the entire Word of God on their own; let alone, ever tried to walk according to the will of the Lord.  How sad it will be for them when they find

themselves, with their children, in a dark place instead of heaven!

What will you say if the Lord asks you, “Why should I let you live?”  How will you account for the manner in which you have spent your life and what you have done?

In the Word of God there is a place referred to as “a dry and barren place.”  It is the most merciful place a person may go, if they do not go to heaven.  It is the only place in Sheol where I have seen a person is given a garment to wear.  The garment is dingy and plain.  The place is truly dry and barren, like a large dessert.  There are no trees to provide shade.  You cannot find water anywhere.  The environment is hot.  The entire horizon is only a stretch of sand, as far as your eyes can see.  All of the people were forlorn and very sad.  In this place, I saw people who were born of noble birth, the blue blood and aristocrats, as well as heathens. (They were referred to as heathens in the dream.)

In several dreams, I have seen a place that is referred to as, “the place of everlasting darkness,” in the Word of God.  It is a large, dark place, and very much like a cave.  When you enter it, it appears to have a mouth like a cave.  If you have ever hiked deep inside a cave and felt its cold hard surface, then you can imagine what this place looks like.  Only now, try to imagine that there is no light.  I saw people sitting down on rocks.  Some of them were trying to defend themselves, from someone else who was trying to assault them.  I saw some people groveling in the darkness, on the floor of the cave, with their fingers; because they were trying to find something to eat.  All of the people in this place, as well as the rest of Sheol, grew an excessive amount of body hair, so that their nakedness may not be exposed as much.  The people’s eyes were wide open, because they were trying to focus in the darkness.  I saw people in this place from all walks of life, from all around the world.  I saw people that achieved fame during their lifetime and were idolized.  I saw people who took advantage of others, who were liars and thieves, and people who were selfish and cared more about themselves, than the Lord and humanity.

In one dream, in the place of everlasting darkness, I saw two people sitting down together.  One of them was combing the hair of the other person, with their fingers, as if they were looking for lice.  When I saw this dream, I realized that if we did not repent, we would evolve into creatures that looked more like apes.

In another dream, I was walking through the place of everlasting darkness, and I approached a thick rough opening in the rock wall; which led to another place.  I peered through the hole and I saw a large cavern that looked similar to where I had been; except in this place, there was a large fire in the center of the space.  I saw several likeminded people sitting on rock ledges, around the fire.  Over the fire hung a large piece of solid white fat, hanging on a meat hook.  It resembled the form of a bull that had been butchered, hanging by its hind legs; except there was no meat there; it was just fat.  The fat was melting and dripping at the bottom, into the fire.  When the fat dripped into the fire, sparks would fly up into the air.  While I was walking through this place, the Lord singled out one couple to me.  The man was sitting in his nakedness, with his elbows resting on his knees and his forearms hanging limp, in front of him.  He sat there staring at the fire, mesmerized by the image of the sparks flying.  His wife was also naked and embarrassed.  She tried to lean close to and behind her husband, in order to try to hide her nakedness.  Then the Lord said, “I have provided this fat for them to dine on, because in their lifetime, they enjoyed living off of the fat of the land, and they did not take into consideration other people, who were less fortunate than themselves.”

The deepest, darkest, and most frightening place that I have seen in Sheol is a place where the most evil people go.  I saw people who were mean spirited and strong and they afflicted a lot of pain on other’s, much weaker than themselves.  They enjoyed taunting, bullying, and beating up other people, when they could not defend themselves.  I saw people who were guilty of assaulting and raping young children; whether they were the perverted men in the Far East, the camel racers in the desert, or the sexually depraved in the “civilized nations."  I saw people who were guilty of committing incest, rape, and murder.  I saw people who took sexual advantage of inmates and patients, because they were helpless and could not protect themselves.  But now all of the oppressors were oppressed, and their faces became a mirrored image of the terror that their victims wore, when they were forced to submit to their vile and abusive treatment.  Now, these same people were submitting to the demons, which used them while they lived, to carry out their evil desires.
