Prophesies Pertaining To Our Days

Scriptures Of Hope

During the final three and a half years that the Anti-Christ remains in power, those of you who have not already submitted to him will be searched out and persecuted.  I urge you to remain patient and continue to be strong!  Refuse to bow down to his image and do not receive the mark of his authority, which he will try to impose upon you!  What little you would gain for the short duration of his remaining existence will not be worth the forfeiture of your souls!  Some of you, who have developed a close relationship with the Lord, will be prepared for this time; however, some of you will not.  Whether you are prepared or not, you will endure a period of great distress.  During this time you will want to be prepared physically, emotionally, and above all else spiritually.  I have enclosed several passages from the Word of God pertaining to the tribulation; both before and after the Messiah returns.  I hope that you will find comfort in his Word by these passages.  I also hope that you will diligently study the Word of God for yourself. Perhaps by doing so, you may discover other passages that can be added to the ones I have already included; so that during your darkest moments of the tribulation, you may find strength.

Zion shall be saved in the judgment; her repentant ones, in the retribution.

Isaiah 1:27 (Tanakh)

In the days to come, the Mount of the LORD’s House shall stand firm above the mountains and tower above the hills; and all the nations shall gaze on it with joy.  And the many peoples shall go and say:  “Come, let us go up to the Mount of the LORD, to the House of the God of Jacob; that He may instruct us in His ways, and that we may walk in His paths.” For instruction shall come forth from Zion, the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.  Thus He will judge among the nations and arbitrate for the many peoples, and they shall beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks: Nation shall not take up sword against nation; they shall never again know war.

Isaiah 2:2-4 (Tanakh)

In that day, the radiance of the LORD will lend beauty and glory, and the splendor of the land [will give] dignity and majesty, to the survivors of Israel.  And those who remain in Zion and are left in Jerusalem—all who are inscribed for life in Jerusalem—shall be called holy.

When my Lord has washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion, and from Jerusalem’s midst has rinsed out her infamy—in a spirit of judgment and in a spirit of purging—the LORD will create over the whole shrine and meeting place of Mount Zion cloud by day and smoke with a glow of flaming fire by night.  Indeed, over all the glory shall hang a canopy, which shall serve as a pavilion for shade from heat by day and as a shelter for protection against drenching rain.

Isaiah 4:2-6 (Tanakh)

     Isaiah chapter eleven and twelve

And a throne shall be established in goodness in the tent of David, and on it shall sit in faithfulness a ruler devoted to justice and zealous for equity.

Isaiah 16:5 (Tanakh)

     Isaiah chapter 35, 49:7-26, 60, 62, 65:17-25, and 66:18-23; Jeremiah chapter 31,

Ezekiel chapter 34:11-31, 36:8-38, 37, 39:9-16, 39:22-29 and chapter’s 40-48; Hosea 2:16-25, Joel 2:18-27, 4:14-21, Amos 9:11-15, Obadiah 1:17-21, Micah 4:1-8, and Zephaniah 3:9-20.

Thus said the LORD of Hosts:  Peoples and the inhabitants of many cities shall yet come—the inhabitants of one shall go to the other and say, “Let us go and entreat the favor of the LORD, let us seek the LORD of Hosts; I will go, too.” The many peoples and the multitude of nations shall come to seek the LORD of Hosts in Jerusalem and to entreat the favor of the LORD.  Thus said the LORD of Hosts:  In those days, ten men from nations of every tongue will take hold—they will take hold of every Jew by a corner of his cloak and say, “Let us go with you, for we have heard that God is with you.”

Zechariah 8:20-23 (Tanakh)

     Zechariah chapter 14:8-11 and 14:16-21

     A psalm of David.

The LORD is my shepherd; I lack nothing.  He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me to water in places of repose; He renews my life; He guides me in right paths as befits His name.  Though I walk through a valley of deepest darkness, I fear no harm, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff—they comfort me.

You spread a table for me in full view of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; my drink is abundant.  Only goodness and steadfast love shall pursue me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the LORD for many long years.

Psalms 23 (Tanakh)

     Psalms chapter 91, 94:12-22, and chapters 95-98.

They who sow in tears shall reap with songs of joy.

Psalms 126:5 (Tanakh)

But he who listens to me will dwell in safety, untroubled by the terror of misfortune.”

Proverbs 1:33 (Tanakh)

     Proverbs 2:1-12, 2:20-21, and 3:1-12; Daniel 7:13-14, 7:18, 7:22, and 7:27.

Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.

Matthew 5:5 (NIV)

For the Son of Man is going to come in his Father’s glory with his angels, and then he will reward each person according to what he has done.  I tell you the truth, some who are standing here will not taste death before they see the Son of Man coming in his kingdom.

Matthew 16:27-28 (NIV)

And this is the will of him who sent me, that I shall lose none of all that he has given me, but raise them up at the last day.  For my Father’s will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day.”

John 6:39-40 (NIV)

Listen, I tell you a mystery:  We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed—in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet.  For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed.

1 Corinthians 15:51-52 (NIV)

According to the Lord’s own word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left till the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep.  For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first.  After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air.  And so we will be with the Lord forever.

1 Thessalonians 4:15-17 (NIV)

     2 Thessalonians 2:13-17

So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded.  You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised.  For in just a very little while, “He who is coming will come and will not delay. But my righteous one will live by faith.  And if he shrinks back, I will not be pleased with him.” But we are not of those who shrink back and are destroyed, but of those who believe and are saved.

Hebrews 10:35-39 (NIV)

Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.” So we say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid.  What can man do to me?”

Hebrews 13:5-6 (NIV)

Be patient, then, brothers, until the Lord’s coming.  See how the farmer waits for the land to yield its valuable crop and how patient he is for the autumn and spring rains.  You too, be patient and stand firm, because the Lord’s coming is near.

James 5:7-8 (NIV)

1 John 4:1-6

... To him who overcomes, I will give the right to eat from the tree of life, which is in the paradise of God.

Revelation 2:7 (NIV)

... Be faithful, even to the point of death, and I will give you the crown of life.

Revelation 2:10 (NIV)

... To him who overcomes, I will give some of the hidden manna.  I will also give him a white stone with a new name written on it, known only to him who receives it.

Revelation 2:17 (NIV)

He who overcomes will, like them, be dressed in white.  I will never blot out his name from the book of life, but will acknowledge his name before my Father and his angels.

Revelation 3:5 (NIV)

Him who overcomes I will make a pillar in the temple of my God.  Never again will he leave it.  I will write on him the name of my God and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem, which is coming down out of heaven from my God; and I will also write on him my new name.

Revelation 3:12 (NIV)

To him who overcomes, I will give the right to sit with me on my throne, just as I overcame and sat down with my Father on his throne.

Revelation 3:21 (NIV)

And I saw what looked like a sea of glass mixed with fire and standing beside the sea, those who had been victorious over the beast and his image and over the number of his name.  They held harps given them by God and sang the song of Moses the servant of God and the song of the Lamb:

“Great and marvelous are your deeds, Lord God Almighty.  Just and true are your ways, King of the ages.  Who will not fear you, O Lord, and bring glory to your name? For you alone are holy.  All nations will come and worship before you, for your righteous acts have been revealed.”

Revelation 15:2-4 (NIV)

I saw thrones on which were seated those who had been given authority to judge.  And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony for Jesus and because of the word of God.  They had not worshiped the beast or his image and had not received his mark on their foreheads or their hands.  They came to life and reigned with Christ a thousand years. (The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended.) This is the first resurrection. Blessed and holy are those who have part in the first resurrection.  The second death has no power over them, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with him for a thousand years.

Revelation 20:4-6 (NIV)
